Last saturday we had our first jazz preformance of the year! We preformed at the "Leave No Duck Behind" festival thing in Leesburg. It's so weird not having the same people in it. Now we have seventh graders and new eight graders. I miss all my friends but I think we are gonna have a great year! One of songs that we are playing i s awsome! It's called Respect. Sound familiar? R-E-S-P-E-C-T! it's awsome! And the trombones have a soli too! Welcome back to another year of busy weekends! Oh joy.

Jazz MPA
Today i went to MPA which is a music competition between other bands. It was a long day today and I'm really tired. It was our school jazz band and our intermediate jazz band. So we all crowed on to one school bus and were on our way to LSCC. When we got there it started to pour down rain. We had to go unload the trailer so we all got of the bus into the soaking rain and unloaded the trailer. When we sat down in our seats we were soaked from head to toe in water. Then we listen to the other middle school jazz bands play and then it is the intermediate jazz's turn. Well one of the middle schools before them had the same song as them.Oh no!! It is called Fat Burger( I know its a weird name). So the intermediate jazz played and they sounded great! At the end we all stood up for them and clapped as loud as we could. Then it was finally our turn to play our songs. So we got every thing set up and we started to warm up. We did great at the songs and i was sure we were going to get a superior! After we were finished we loaded the trailer and then we watched Eustis High School preform. We went out side to look at our scores but they weren't there. But the intermediate's score was there and they got all excellents! Yea!!!!!! So we were waiting outside for the scores and then they came! We got all superiors!!!!!!! Which is the best score you can get! And excellent is the second best score. So i had my phone and i took a big group picture of the whole Jazz band. And i went around getting happy faces from every one! In the group picture some of the people are missing. We have eight that are missing.

Raising Money
Every year for jazz band, my band teacher takes the jazz band on an out of state trip. It is really expensive. This year we are going to Gatlinberg, Tennessee for five days. So if you have any thing i can do for you to earn money for my trip please let me know.
I'm Jensen Clayton and I approve this message.

Doodles
In school i doodle so much! My english class is really boring so that when i doodle the most. My doodles vary from the very simplest of doodles to the strangest. Like the other day i was drawing on a ruler and i drew a triangle with an afro! How weird is that! I actually have a whole envelope dedicated to my doodles. It holds all my doodles.
